Chateau Lavergne-Dulong, 2007, Bordeaux Superieur

Cheap and cheerful bordeaux, £10.99 over in the uk, I bought this in Gare du Nord in Paris, on the way home (with 6 other bottles…)

Not too tannic which is nice, some of that lovely Frenchness, almost dirtyness that I find so typical of French wines.

Easy drinking, nice with the lovely steak we had with dinner, and to be honest, I could quite easily go another bottle.  Not too complex, enough acid to keep it from feeling flabby and out of balance, however due to it being on the cheaper side, very short length.

Considering what I paid, this really is a bargain for what can be a region of over-priced wines at times – a particularly low quality at the lower spectrum.
